Gloria Lyrics – Gracie Binion
[Verse 1]
In the little town of David underneath the starry sky
Was the humblest of beginnings just a virgin and a child
There were centuries full of silence since our hope was prophesied
Till that silent night was broken by a tender baby’s cry
[Chorus]
Glory to God, glory to God in the highest
And on the earth peace unto those on whom his favor rests
[Verse 2]
All the shepherds bowing in reverence and the angels sing a song
And the wise men laid their gifts down to the greatest gift of all
Our Messiah in a manger fully God and fully man
Who could fathom our salvation lay sleeping Mary’s hands
[Chorus]
Glory to God, glory to God in the highest
And on the earth peace unto those on whom his favor rests
Glory to God, glory to God in the highest
And on the earth peace unto those on whom his favor rests
[Bridge]
Gloria
We sing gloria
We sing gloria
In excelsis deo
Gloria
We sing gloria
We sing gloria
In excelsis deo
[Outro]
God, glory to God in the highest
And on the earth peace unto those on whom his favor rests
God, glory to God in the highest
And on the earth peace unto those on whom his favor rests
