God’s Always on Time Lyrics – Diamond District Music
I used to watch the clock
I used to count the days
But now I’ve learned to trust
In your perfect ways oh
Mm mm oh
Well
Yeah mm mm mm mm
I remember waiting by the window looking for a sign
Thought you forgot about me, thought I was out of line
Everybody else was getting what they prayed for instantly
And I was sitting asking, “Lord, what about me?”
The bills were stacking higher, the doors were closing fast
I thought my season passed me, thought my moment couldn’t last
But right when I was ready to give up and walk away
That’s when you showed up and made a way
You’re never early
You’re never late
You show up right when
I need a way
‘Cause waiting taught me something that a blessing couldn’t do
It taught me how to trust and how to lean on you
So now I don’t get anxious when the answer takes a while
I just smile and remember
God is always on time (Always on time)
God is always on time (Always on time)
Not a second too early (Too early)
Not a minute too late (Too late)
God is always on time (Always on time)
God is always on time
He may not come when you want Him (When you want Him)
But He’s right on time (Right on time)
Remember when I thought my breakthrough wouldn’t ever come
I was tired of believing, felt like I was overcome
But every delay was a detour leading to a bigger door
Every closed door was a setup for something so much more
I look back now and thank him for the nights that I spent alone,
Cuz waiting built a character I never would have known.
The person I am now could never be the same,
As the one who would have gotten blessings before the growth came.
So if you’re waiting on an answer and you feel like giving in,
Just remember that the wait is where the victory begins.
Cuz his timing is perfection, even when you cannot see,
He’s working all things for your good, just wait and you’ll see.
God is always on time (Always on time)
God is always on time (Always on time)
Not a second too early (Too early)
Not a minute too late (Too late)
God is always on time (Always on time)
God is always on time
He may not come when you want Him (When you want Him)
But He’s right on time (Right on time)
Abraham waited 25 years for Isaac’s birth
Joseph waited in a prison before he ruled the earth
The Israelites wandered 40 years before they reached the land
Moses waited on the mountain for the tablets in his hand
David waited as a shepherd before he wore a crown
Job lost everything he had before his restoration came down
Jesus waited 30 years before He started His ministry
And three days in the grave before He set the captives free
So if you’re in a waiting season
Don’t you dare give up the fight
Oh, The God who is on time for them
Is the same God here right now
Oh, God is always on time (Always on time)
God is always on time (Yes, he is)
Not a second too early, (not a second)
Not a minute too late, (not a minute)
God is always on time (Always on time)
Oh, God is always on time
He may not come when you want him, (when you want him)
But he’s right on time, (right on time)
Always on time
In the midnight, (always on time)
In the morning, In the midnight, (always on time)
Never early, (always on time)
Never late, (always on time)
When I’m waiting, when I’m praying, he shows up, lift him up
(He’s right on time)
I’m a witness, (he’s right on time)
He never misses, (he is right on time)
Just keep trusting, (he’s right on time)
He’s adjusting, (he is right on time)
Oh, Always on time
God is always on time
God is always on time
